1. This agreement
These terms are a contract between you and BootStartUp R&D LTD, an Israeli company registered under number 516064441, trading as BoardRemix.com (“BoardRemix”, “we”, “us”). They apply when you use the BoardRemix website, the Studio, or join a game at the table.
If you do not agree with them, do not use the service. If you are using BoardRemix on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation.
2. What BoardRemix does
You describe a board or party game in plain language. We use automated systems, including AI models, to turn that description into a playable game: a rulebook, a board, and a referee that answers questions at the table. You then host it — the TV shows the board, phones are the hands.
Two kinds of people use BoardRemix, and they are treated differently throughout these terms and our Privacy Notice:
- Creators and hosts hold an account, sign in, and may pay us.
- Players scan a code and join. They never create an account, never sign in, and never pay.
3. Your account
You need an account to create or host a game. You must be at least 16 years old to hold one, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us at support@boardremix.com if you think someone else has it.
Players joining a game you host do not need an account, and you are responsible for the game night you convene — including who you invite into the room.
4. What you make, and who owns it
The description you write is yours. The game we generate from it — its rulebook, board and components — is yours to use, host, modify and, where the service allows it, sell. We claim no ownership of it.
We need a limited licence to actually run the service: permission to store your game, show it on the screens of the people you invite, process it through our systems to compile, repair and referee it, and — only if you choose to publish it — display it publicly. That licence lasts as long as you keep the game with us, and ends when you delete it.
We may keep aggregated, non-identifying information about how games perform in order to improve the service. We do not sell your games.
5. What you may not do
BoardRemix is built to make your game, not to reproduce someone else’s. You may not use it to:
- recreate a commercial game’s name, board, cards, artwork or distinctive components, or use a trademark you do not own;
- publish content that is hateful, sexual, violent beyond a family setting, or otherwise inappropriate for a public page;
- infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- attempt to extract our prompts or models, resell access to the AI, scrape the service, or work around usage limits, credit balances or capacity controls;
- break the law, or use the service to help anyone else do any of the above.
Anything you submit for publication is reviewed — automatically and, before it goes public, by a person. We may refuse it, ask you to change it, or remove it later. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
6. AI output, and its limits
Games are generated by automated systems. We test each one before saving it — the compiler plays the game through and repairs what does not work — but generated rules can still be ambiguous, unbalanced, or simply not the game you pictured. The referee’s answers are a reading of your rulebook, not a guarantee.
BoardRemix is entertainment. Do not rely on anything it produces for any decision that matters, and check that a game you intend to publish or sell is genuinely your own work.
7. Plans, credits and payment
Parts of BoardRemix are paid: subscription plans, one-off purchases, and credits that are consumed when the AI does work for you — compiling a game, answering a question at the table, running a playtest. Prices are shown before you commit, and the cost of an action is shown before you trigger it.
Purchases are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record. Paddle — not us — is the seller on your receipt, handles the payment, and applies any sales tax or VAT. Their buyer terms apply to the transaction alongside these terms.
Monthly credits are granted at each renewal and do not roll over. Credits are a licence to use the service, not currency: they have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
If your subscription ends, your account stays open and your games remain visible, but the limits of the free plan apply again.
Prices can change. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and never applies retroactively to a purchase you have already made. If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to one of your renewals, and you can cancel before then rather than accept it. A published price is the price of the purchases made at that time, not a commitment about what it will cost next year.
8. Publishing and selling
Where the service lets you publish a game, you confirm you own it or have the right to publish it, and you grant us permission to host, display and distribute it to the people who acquire it. Published games are reviewed before they go live.
We may take any listing down at any time, including on a rights holder’s complaint. People who already acquired a game keep their access to it — they paid for it. If you sell through the service, your share of each sale is the one shown for your plan at the time of the sale.
If you believe something on BoardRemix infringes your rights, write to support@boardremix.com with enough detail to identify the work and the listing.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep BoardRemix running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan gives you, we will tell you first and you may cancel.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced with a new effective date at the top of this page before they take effect; continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them.
10. Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, and any statutory consumer rights you have.
11. Ending this agreement
You may stop using BoardRemix and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we are legally required to close. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid subscription period.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your own country, nor of the right to bring proceedings there.
